ChiaoGoo

ChiaoGoo is a knitting and crochet needle brand with roots in a long family tradition of craftsmanship. The story begins in Linan, China – an area known for bamboo work – where several generations of the family worked to make everyday items by hand.

The knitting needles came later and grew out of a very specific need. The family had a mother who was an avid knitter and had high demands on her tools. She tested the needles, asked for adjustments and wanted solutions that worked better in practice. She is the inspiration behind the name ChiaoGoo, which means “skilled and cunning woman”.
