Beskrivelse

Here you get Albertine in the color Chocolat chaud. A soft, cocoa brown color with a slight milky sheen - warm and inviting, just like a cup of hot cocoa, hence the name.

Albertine is a fine, elegant and very soft 4-ply yarn that combines the exceptional elasticity and comfort of organic Merinos d'Arles with a touch of mulberry silk. The result is a yarn with a round and well-defined structure, a beautiful falling drape and a discreet, satiny sheen.

The wool (21.5 microns) comes from organic farms near Aureille in Provence and is known for its exceptional softness. The silk is carefully balanced to give the yarn a light sheen and a luxurious feel, without losing its woolly character.

The yarn is spun in the Biella region of Italy, one of the few places where such a fine combed yarn can be spun. It is then dyed in Creuse, France. The production is well thought out and traceable, with a focus on quality, craftsmanship and respect for the environment and animal welfare.

Albertine appears harmonious on the needles with beautiful stitch definition. The yarn's softness and drape make it ideal for finer baby and children's knits, elegant blouses, light sweaters, fine shawls and anything worn directly against the skin.

The name Albertine is a tribute to the feminine character from In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust.

Vask & Pleje

Albertine is not superwash treated. We recommend hand washing at 30°C with wool detergent and drying flat. Avoid rubbing or stretching.
If you want to test the wool program on the washing machine, first try on a knitting sample.
Note: Dark and saturated colors may bleed during the first few washes. If you combine light and dark colors, we recommend rinsing until the water runs clear before drying the work.

Introducing

De Rerum Natura

At Broen Garn, we are proud to present De Rerum Natura, a small, passionate yarn brand from France that has made sustainability, ethics and timeless quality its core principles.

De Rerum Natura was founded in 2012 with one clear ambition: to break with overconsumption and the fast-fashion mentality and instead create yarn that can be passed down for generations.

The wool comes primarily fromMerinos d'Arlesin Provence – one of the finest and most elastic merino qualities in Europe – as well asblack Portuguese merinofrom Alentejo. The natural melanges are created by mixing light and dark fibers, giving each yarn its unique, subtle nuance. The entire production chain - washing, dyeing, spinning - takes place in Europe.

Today, De Rerum Natura is recognized as one of the leading players in responsible yarn production. Their yarn is the natural choice for knitters who desire both aesthetics and environmental friendliness.

At Broen Garn, we share De Rerum Natura's vision of uniting sustainability, beauty and the joy of knitting. When you choose their yarn, you not only get a high-quality product - you also become part of a movement that strives for a more responsible future for needlework.
